Gameplay guidelines
Escape Road 2 is played entirely with the keyboard, so you can jump straight into the chase. Steer with W, A, S, D or the arrow keys, and press Backspace whenever you need to get in or out of a car. Since the world is open, you can drive down almost any road, cut through side streets, or leave your car behind and continue the escape on foot.
Movement keyboard
- Use W, A, S, D or the arrows to drive, turn, and reverse.
- Press Backspace to hop out of your current car, and press it again near another vehicle to get in.
Timing Your Lasso
Catching an animal is not automatic. Each one has its own behavior, so you need to judge the right moment to release and lasso. Miss the timing, and you fall short, sending your cowboy straight to the ground.
Wanted Levels and Getting Caught
The longer you stay on the run, the more attention you draw. Your wanted level rises over time, and each increase sends more police your way, first with extra cars, then helicopters, and eventually tanks. If you ever get boxed in with nowhere left to drive or run, the police catch up and your escape ends there.
